Office Space and Live/Work Loft located in Chicago, Illinois. Erin's project is about trying to blend the first and second floors, creating public and private spaces, and designing a space that the user can interact with. She is designing modular units in the office and live/work loft areas for storage purposes. She has an open floor plan so the user can interpret the space however they want or need. Her project also incorporates intersecting pieces, layers, bright colors, and the exploration of materials. My advice would be to explore even more materials that could be used for the modular units. Try out materials that are transparent and see how it would affect the surrounding environment. Also more concept development will help to make more decisions as the project continues to develop.
